Israel runs at UTC+2, moving to UTC+3 as IDT for roughly seven months. Its transition dates are set nationally and do not line up with the EU ones, so its gap to Central Europe is not fixed even though the two are usually one hour apart.

About Coordinated Universal Time

UTC never shifts. It is the reference every other zone is defined against, which is why logs, flight schedules and protocol timestamps use it. GMT is the same clock for every civil purpose, so a query for one is answered by the other.
